New South Wales Minister for Energy John Robertson has officially opened the 667 megawatt Colongra Gas Generation Plant, located on the New South Wales central coast.
The Delta Electricity-operated gas-fired power station will be used to meet peaking demand in the area.
Engineering company A J Mayr installed the four GT13E2 gas turbines.
The facility is connected to the Wilton to Newcastle Pipeline by the 9 kilometre Colongra Lateral Pipeline.
