The Queensland Gas Conference and Exhibition (QGCE) will be held on 11 and 12 September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, dedicated to exploring the latest gas industry innovations and addressing key issues affecting the sector.
The event will bring together over 1,500 international opinion leaders, global energy market executives, governmental and regulatory body representatives and senior decision makers from Australia’s LNG industry and its supporting infrastructure.
QGCE Exhibition Manager David McCarthy said the conference will cater to the fast-growing industry by generating discussion around key areas, including commercial, economic, political and technological issues.
“This conference and exhibition is the only event of its kind, addressing the needs and issues of CSG and LNG industries and exploring the ways in which they can operate sustainably and responsibly in all stages,” Mr McCarthy said.

QGCE is not designed to provide project updates for attendees, but rather give information on exactly where the Queensland industry is and address the issues for C-level executives preparing for the impending boom.
“With a speaker panel replete with senior executives from across the industry, the event is designed to impart practical knowledge to assist you to grow your business and avoid disastrous pitfalls,” said Mr McCarthy.
The keynote speaker will deliver an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Gasfields Land and Water Commission, examining the terms of reference for the commission, a preview of the legislative framework and an update on the implementation of the commission.
Additional speakers include Energy Skills Queensland Chief Executive Officer Glenn Porter, Sigra Managing Director Dr Ian Gray and Queensland Minister for Energy and Water Supply Mark McArdle.
