Cougar Energy CEO Dr Len Walker has stepped aside from his role becoming Executive Director in order to expand the company's activities in Asia.
Cougar stated that 'the continued successful implementation of [its] Asian strategy, and associated project development, includes the need to prepare for continued growth which will require additional executive skills specifically relevant to the Asian region, and a build-up of the Company’s technical capabilities.'
As a result of Dr Walker’s decision, the Cougar Energy Board has commenced the recruitment process for a new CEO.
Dr Walker said “The past few years have been extremely challenging, particularly given the political motivation evident in the shut-down of our Kingaroy plant.”
Cougar Energy continues preparation of its legal cases for hearing in the Queensland courts to pursue its rights to develop the Kingaroy project, and to claim damages from the Queensland Government and government officials for the decision to shut down the project.
