Electrix anticipates the presence of the office in Roma in Western Queensland will generate confidence and goodwill in the local community and communicate the company is committed to the area long term.

The Electrix office is in the heart of Roma, Western Queensland, and a short distance away from the mainstream coal seam gas companies such as Origin, QGC and Santos.

Due to the nature of the CSG industry it is envisaged that the presence of Electrix in Roma will generate local employment and training opportunities for the local community.

In 2012 Electrix was awarded a contract by McConnell Dowell for electrical installation work associated with the upstream gas gathering facilities for the Santos GLNG coal seam gas project near Roma.

The project was recently completed and at its peak employed over 140 electrix employees comprising electrical and Instrumentation trades supported by an experienced project management, construction management, supervision, controls management and safety and quality management team.

Electrix worked closely with the MacDow project team to ensure a seamless project delivery that fully complied with the demanding safety, quality and environmental requirements of the project.

The work required close coordination with other trades and work packages often working under arduous climatic conditions.

This initial contract was followed by further work packages issued by Fluor and Santos at both the Roma and Fairview fields.

At the peak Electrix deployed more than 250 field personnel across these projects.

The company anticipates the presence of the office in Roma in Western Queensland will generate confidence and goodwill in the local community and communicate that Electrix is committed to the area long term.
