The gas hot water system has a unique condensing unit to capture heat from the exhaust gas, using it to preheat incoming cold water. A secondary heat exchanger within the appliance provides maximum efficiency, and the unit can be teamed with up to four temperature controllers.

Shane Alcock from Bosch said that installation of this system is equivalent to taking one and a half cars off the road for an entire year, saving tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and that the 26eco+ is 14 per cent more efficient than a standard domestic continuous flow hot water system.
