LNG 18: the World’s LNG industry comes to Perth

The 18th International Conference and Exhibition on LNG is set to take place from 11–15 April 2016 in Perth, and will cover all aspects of the LNG industry.

Visits to four innovative and ground-breaking LNG sites and centres have also been programmed in conjunction with Woodside, Chevron, ConocoPhillips and the Western Australian Energy Research Alliance.

Presentations by prominent speakers, high level ministers and policy makers as well as solid networking opportunities are only some of the highlights for the International Gas Union’s upcoming LNG 18 Conference and Exhibition.

With a record number of papers and posters received, and an enthusiastic interest by the industry, an outstanding program has been developed. Speakers include top industry leaders, ministers and policy makers.

Over 5,000 participants are expected to attend from around the world including delegates, exhibitors, accompanying persons and trade visitors, while over 250 exhibitors from over 60 countries will be showcased.

The four-day program will include plenary sessions, workshops, exhibition, poster sessions, technical tours to world-leading LNG facilities, city tours, opening and closing ceremonies and receptions.

Part of the LNG X series, well-known and popular for its extensive technical sessions, LNG 18 will continue to showcase global advances in the LNG sector including developments in floating LNG and unconventional gas to LNG technologies.

Keynote speakers at LNG 18 will include Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer, Shell; Peter Coleman, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Woodside; John Watson, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, Chevron; and numerous other CEOs and industry leaders from both Australia and around the world.

Australia’s world-firsts and innovative projects such as floating LNG, subsea technology and coal bed methane-to-LNG will be part of the program.

Additionally, unprecedented content on challenges, trends and innovation facing the industry globally will be presented as part of the commercial, technical and special interest streams of the concurrent sessions.

The LNG 18 social program includes a welcome reception, conference networking event and farewell drinks, for conference delegates especially designed to maximise networking opportunities.

Delegate lunches and plenty of other networking options, such as the thought leadership lunches and golf day, are included in the registration fee.

LNG 18 will offer participants the chance to interact with industry leaders on the evolving technological, commercial, social and environmental challenges affecting the LNG industry, drawing attention from an extensive national and international media presence before, during and after the event.
