SkillsTech Australia Business Manager Chris Kroehn said the new delivery would ensure SkillsTech Australia remained a leader in CSG training.
“The brand-new, 18 m NOMAD mobile gas compression unit has just arrived from the Canadian manufacturer, Bidell Gas Compression, and will be on display at the Acacia Ridge Training Centre for the next three months,” Mr Kroehn said.
“Due to industry recognition that SkillsTech Australia is a premier provider of CSG training in Australia, Bidell chose our facilities to display this new unit to CSG producers from around the country, and for study purposes for our students.
“This arrangement adds to the growing list of key industry players who have all contributed strongly in siting the best of CSG technology at SkillsTech Australia’s Acacia Ridge Training Centre.

“These industry partnerships have all contributed to our new facilities, which continue to support the increasing range of courses we offer to provide skills and jobs for Queenslanders.
“Over the next year with ongoing industry support, SkillsTech Australia’s Acacia Ridge Training Centre will play a leading role in placing Queensland at the forefront of CSG training in Australia.”
Bidell Vice President of Sales and Applications Mat Clark said the patented gas compression unit with its fully portable feature is revolutionary technology and is now available in Australia.
“We have worked closely with SkillsTech Australia to prepare for the arrival after shipment from Bidell’s North American manufacturing facility,” Mr Clark said.
“Weighing in at 53.5 tonnes, it gives CSG workers the flexibility in the field to extract gas in a matter of days, whereas normally this could take several weeks.”
