ABMARC is conducting a survey on the automotive experiences and preferences of Australians, with input contributing to vehicle development and product availability.
The survey gauges knowledge levels and interest in hybrid and electric vehicles and examines the different engine options to consider for future purchase, including compressed natural gas (CNG).

The survey states that the advantages of using CNG include:
The option for homefill, which is 50 per cent cheaper than petrol;
A short range tank, which would cut costs while having the option to use petrol when required; and,
Environmental friendliness; natural gas powered vehicles have 20-25 per cent lower CO2 emissions.
