New Zealand oil and gas event beckons

New Plymouth, New Zealand.

New Plymouth, New Zealand.

ENEX 2015, New Zealand’s Hard Hat Oil & Gas Event, is just around the corner and will take place at TSB Stadium in New Plymouth from 24–25 June.

The format has changed since the 2013 event. The industry expo will be free of charge and will offer, among many exhibitor supply side trade stands, free seminars covering technical and environmental issues, data management, procurement and supply.

Alongside the expo, ENEX 2015 will offer four half-day conferences on the themes:

  • Workforce Management in the Oil and Gas and Supply Services Industries;
  • Health and Safety in the Oil and Gas and Supply Services Industries;
  • Asset Management in the Oil and Gas Industry; and,
  • Corrosion Management and Prevention in the Oil and Gas Industry.

With the industry under restraints through the low price of global oil, delegates will be interested in the series of presentations concerning cost cutting and maximising existing assets, including workforce talent.

For instance, attendees of Workforce Management in the Oil & Gas and Supply Services Industries Conference will hear about ‘Building and sustaining a strong talent pipeline’. This presentation will discuss principles of effective talent management, why and how to adjust to shifting demographics and workforce preferences, and how to build new capabilities, revitalise organisations, and invest in new technologies. It will be delivered by Haines Attract General Manager Paul Greenway.

With a growing exhibition area, new conference features and the new pricing model, it is expected that the 2015 event will attract around 500 delegates.

Specifically, new developments for ENEX 2015 include:

  • An expanded show floor footprint, allowing a greater number of exhibitors;
  • Creation of new outdoor showcase areas, including dedicated areas for heavy equipment;
  • Expert speaker line up presenting “hard hat” technical content and case studies for the expo show floor stages;
  • Supply side new product demonstrations; and,
  • Bespoke and hosted events for senior industry executives.

A large-scale exhibition will be at the centre of ENEX 2015, bringing together everyone involved in the country’s oil and gas industry.

This will provide a unique and not-to-be-missed opportunity to spend two days networking with the key influencers and decision makers in one of the country’s most important industries. Buyers and sellers from right across the industry will make new and renewed connections doing business at ENEX 2015, New Zealand’s ‘hard hat’ oil and gas event.
