As the Northern Territory emerges as the focus of Australia’s new oil and gas projects, it is the 21st Annual South East Asia Australia Offshore & Onshore Conference will provide a “good platform for industry representatives to discuss the opportunities, challenges and future in this rapidly growing region” – Northern Territory Chief Minister Adam Giles.

Mr Giles will be welcoming gas leaders from all over as he opens the 21st Annual South East Asia Australia Offshore & Onshore Conference, more commonly known as SEAAOC, this August in Darwin. Attendees will gather at the lavish location and take in the tropical architecture of the Parliament House on Tuesday 25 August 2015 at the Chief Minister’s welcome drinks and reception. Conference General Manager Richard Beattie remarked that “the venue is phenomenal with a picturesque view of the ocean and last year we even witnessed a ConocoPhillips LNG tanker on the horizon.”

ConocoPhillips will be supporting the welcome reception.

The conference commences on Wednesday 26 August with an opening address from Mr Giles, which will be followed by an economic outlook style presentation from Paul Bloxham, Chief Economist (Australia & NZ), HSBC. Channel 7’s “Sunrise” Foreign Policy Analyst, Dr Keith Suter will share with delegates a geopolitical outlook and how the new era of lower oil prices impact the geopolitics of the 21st Century.

The social event drawcard of the event is the INPEX Gala Dinner. The dinner has grown year on year and in 2014 attracted over 550 people. SKY CITY Casino will once again play host to the al-fresco dinner with live entertainment and welcome speech from a senior INPEX representative, taking place on the night of Wednesday 26th August.

A closing harbour cruise will conclude proceedings as attendees get a last glimpse of the sunset as they make meaningful business connections.
