“We have an ambitious schedule which will see 85–90 per cent construction completed by year end and on track to be the fastest greenfield LNG development in the world.
“At peak construction, later this year, we will have about 4,000 people working at the onshore facility. And by the end of 2010, almost 20,000 people will have been involved in completing this project.”
The $A12 billion Pluto project will process gas from the Pluto and Xena gas fields, located in the Carnarvon Basin about 190 km northwest of Karratha, Western Australia.
