InterOil’s Antelope-2 well, located in PPL 237, in Papua New Guinea, has flowed at a world record rate of 705 MMcf/d, including 11,200 bbl/d of concentrate for a total of 129,000 boe/d.
In total, Antelope-2 and previous wells have confirmed over 1.2 Bcf/d of productive capacity.
The Antelope-2 well is a part of a drilling program that aims to shore up gas reserves for the proposed Liquid Niugini Gas LNG Project, which is a joint venture between InterOil, Liquid Niugini Gas and Petromin PNG Holdings.
InterOil has also said that the condensate ratio established at the top of the Antelope reservoir further enhances the economic viability of a condensate stripping facility.
