APPEA 2009, to be held at the new Darwin Convention Centre from 31 May – 3 June, will see pioneering members of the gas sector investigate leading industry issues from government policy and the current and future business environment to research and development initiatives. The conference will cover topics including energy security, emissions trading, frontier exploration, fiscal and regulatory settings, land access frameworks, as well as skills, education and training.
The annual conference and exhibition is recognised as Australia’s leading oil and gas industry convention and is listed amongst the global top-three. Darwin, as Australia’s gateway to Asia, will play host to what is shaping up to be a must-attend international event for industry knowledge-sharing, networking and business opportunities.
APPEA Chairman Mark Nolan said “The past year has been one of momentous change for the industry and 2009-10 promises to be every bit as volatile. The theme for this conference will allow industry experts to provide insight into 'New FroNTiers' in exploration, financing and technology. Along with a full conference program, the exhibition will showcase the best of the best in the upstream oil and gas industry.”
The Gas Today team will be on site, so visit us in the exhibition hall at booth number 161 and explore 'New FroNTiers' at the APPEA 2009 Conference. We hope to see you there!
