According to a 2012 report released by the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics, gas production in Western Australia has grown at an average annual rate of around 6 per cent over the past five years, to reach 1,439 PJ in 2010–11.

To fully understand the state’s potential, it is important to know the projects and infrastructure that have driven this strong growth in gas production.

Gas Today magazine publisher Great Southern Press has developed the Western Australia Gas Map – a visual reference for gas professionals that allows for the quick and easy identification of major energy projects and infrastructure in Western Australia.

The map depicts the location, capacity and construction status of:

  • LNG projects;
  • Gas-fired power generation facilities; and,
