Electrix will celebrate its 60th birthday this March – a significant milestone and one that recognises the importance of the strong partnerships, hard work and the commitment of Electrix employees.

Electrix is a success story that began back in 1955 when four friends with little money but lots of enthusiasm formed a company in Auckland, New Zealand.  Electrix has since grown to become a major company now operating in more than 30 locations across New Zealand and Australia.

Electrix Managing Director Gavan Jackson said: “The name Electrix has become synonymous with ‘excellence’ and ‘customer focus’ and throughout this time the culture and values have remained strong and true since its humble beginnings.

“Electrix takes pride in being recognised as a premier provider of services in the highly competitive utility, resources and infrastructure sectors. This didn’t happen by chance but instead was the result of overcoming challenges and realising opportunities.

“Electrix has a deep commitment to employee training and development, knowing that excellent processes and systems together with competent and committed employees produce excellent outcomes.”

Mr Jackson added: “Every day the business pushes to achieve results, deliver value and build long-term relationships.  Continuous growth and extensive term contract renewals in both Australia and New Zealand demonstrate that this approach is based on fundamentally sound principles.”

Electrix is entering a new era, with French company VINCI Energies recently acquiring the business from McConnell Dowell late last year. VINCI Energies has a turnover of €9.25 billion from operating in 50 countries, including 30 outside Europe, and providing services to many of the same markets as Electrix.

VINCI Energies has a strong focus on combining global expertise with local service, providing Electrix with the financial strength and stability to support large projects as well as access to additional expertise and experience.

“As Electrix embarks on its next chapter with new parent company VINCI Energies, Electrix will continue to meet the challenges ahead of it and stay focused on delivering superior results for all stakeholders,” Mr Jackson said.
