Valmec wins pipe works

Valmec Limited has secured new turnkey construction contracts in the gas and resources sectors, notably pipeline work in Western Australia and Queensland.

Valmec reached two agreements with APA Group, the first being the construction of a compressor station at the Murrin Murrin facility on the Goldfields Gas Pipeline in Western Australia.

The second agreement with APA was the construction of a 4 km gas pipeline and facilities on the Mount Morgan Gold gas project for Dacian Gold, also in Western Australia.

Finally, Valmec also signed a contract with Jemena for the construction of a compressor station and facilities in Mt Isa in Queensland as part of the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP).

Together with the earlier award of the civil construction scope on the NGP, the Valmec total contract value now sits at approximately $13.5 million.

All works on these contracts are expected to commence immediately, with the majority of works expected to be completed within the current financial year.

The new contracts reach a combined value of approximately $30 million.
